Job Summary:

The Farm Manager will be responsible for overseeing all farm activities, ensuring smooth daily operations, and implementing sustainable farming practices. We’re looking for a hands-on leader who values teamwork and is passionate about agriculture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in farm management, a deep understanding of sustainable practices, and the ability to lead a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage planting, harvesting, and processing activities for all crops.
• Oversee and manage all farm employees and ensure a positive, productive work environment.
• Develop and implement sustainable farming practices to improve crop production and minimize environmental impact.
• Monitor and manage farm equipment and ensure proper maintenance is performed.
• Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including planting schedules, labor costs, and crop yields.
• Coordinate with agricultural specialists to optimize crop performance and soil health.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and reports to track farm operations efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in farm management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices and principles.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners.
• Proficiency in farm management software and Microsoft Office applications.
